I had a great time photographing these two! So much personality and spontaneous humor (or was it the sillies?) came out by the end of the session. I love the series of four pictures with the them interacting…very fun and expressive!

Here’s just a couple more of this sweet child. I love late afternoon sessions, as we get a small window of time to really have fun with the sun. I was just experimenting with the editing here, and trying out some new techniques.

Such a sweet and beautiful spirit…her eyes are so soulful.

I borrowed this clip from my sweet friend Lee in Australia. It’s soooo funny, it had my husband and I in stiches! I just had to share it with all of you.
Also, lot’s of new stuff….I’ll be posting more photos to share soon!

Just a quick image from our friends wedding last night at the Moshulu! It was our first time there and we loved being on the waterfront, and what an awesome view of the Ben Franklin as well as the city at sunset. We just adore these two, and were so happy to be able to share in their celebration. I especially ESPECIALLY enjoyed the chocolate fountain…and lucky me, I’m eating for two!

You may not know that for many years I was a wedding photographer…and I hung up my medium format camera to learn digital and dive into the realm of childhood portraiture. I still get contacted on occasion to photograph weddings, and I have to say that I’m really enjoying working with adults again. These guys are just salt of the earth people. They have such gentle, fun and vibrant spirits…and their interactions are so loving and sweet. Their wedding is coming up in just a couple of weeks…and if these engagement photos are any indication of their intense and beautiful connection, their wedding photos will be gorgeous.
Even as I captured the first image, she reminded me of Frida Kahlo…does anyone else see it?

I’ll be taking on a limited number of wedding clients again and will be offering a special rate to the first three couples that book their 2008 wedding with Bamboo Photography. Please spread the word, but keep in mind I’ll be out on maternity leave in September and October.
