Greetings!
May 5th, 2008~ portraitsHello and welcome! My name is Dana Scherer, and I am the person behind Bamboo Photography, a childhood portrait studio based in the Philadelphia region. Photographing children, I am constantly reminded of the delicate and fleeting wonder of childhood and the importance of living each day as fully and as presently as possible. It is my hope to create images that reflect the honest, innocent (and often silly!) nature of childhood, giving us all a small dose of perspective; a reminder and inspiration for living our days a little more connected, thankful, and alive. I am delighted to share my latest images and news with you here on the blog!
Be sure to explore the tabs menu above for our website, clothing ideas for your session, local business partners, parenting resources, and more. If you need more information, or would like to schedule a session, use the contact page under the links tab. Thanks for stopping by! Feel free to leave a comment or two…I’d love to hear from you!

——> UPDATE: With my pregnancy winding down, I am pretty much fully booked for any new sessions between now and November. If you’re having a newborn, and interested in maternity or newborn portraits, give me a try…I might be able to squeeze in a few of these sessions. I am also working diligently to catch up on all past sessions. I appreciate everyone’s kind words and patience during this time, as I did not anticipate how busy I would be, or how much energy being in my 3rd trimester would require!
My youngest, soon to be the middle child loves to take photos, and he captured this belly shot while out celebrating his 3rd birthday… He makes his mama proud!
As always, I love to hear your comments…

Morgan is and has always been the sweetest young lady I know. These lovely photos show the inner goodness and big heart of this special young lady. A friend to the birds, the butterflies and the plants–yes certainly, but moreover, a loving personality to all of her family and friends.
